Mission Statement

The Parent Outreach and Development/Penn Parents Student Advisory Board (PPSAB) is the primary source of student advice to the Parent Outreach and Development/Penn Parents Director and team. The PPSAB plays an advisory role in informing decisions and content of POD communication material to the undergraduate parent population. The advice, information, and opinions of PPSAB members will combine input from students and parent data gathered by POD to develop and implement social media initiatives, informational communication to parents, solicitation materials, stewardship, and online content. The PPSAB consists of 5-8 student board members representing a cross-section of the University of Pennsylvania student population.
 

Membership of PPSAB

Members of the Penn Parents Student Advisory Board must be current University of Pennsylvania undergraduates in good academic standing. Student Advisory Board members are well-informed on issues at the University, and they are expected to share this information with POD staff before and after meetings to inform and convey student opinion in POD decisions. Members must commit to attending a monthly meeting. Interested candidates must submit a resume and letter of intent via email to gretab@upenn.edu.

Structure of Penn Parents Student Advisory Board

The PPSAB will be made up of 5-8 student representatives from the University of Pennsylvania undergraduate population. The Chair of the PPSAB will be elected at the first meeting and will hold the seat throughout the academic year. The Chair will be responsible for creating the agenda and running bi-weekly PPSAB meetings with POD staff.
